The Agency: Season 01

Session 03
Who's shooting at me?!?!?

Session 03 started with a bang!

Our intrepid squad of professionals left the hostages cowering in the lobby and immediately headed downstairs to the vaults, they knew they had 4 mins to get the contents of the safety deposit box.

Hashim took point and as he rounded an open security doorway, a patroling thief spotted him and began firing, the thief hit Hashim but his armour protected him from damage. Hashim returned fire and immediately dropped the thief, blood pooling from his corpse. He moved past the security door into the corridor

Eric ran forward, to where the corridor turned a corner and spotted another thief using the bulletproof glass of the vault room as cover.

Jose followed Eric, stopping near the downed thief.

Hashim once again moved forward, and fired at the thief taking cover in the vault room, unfortunately, a defect in his weapon caused his barrel to explode, temporarily blinding him, causing some serious damage to his armour and causing some nicks and scratches.

From here the fight turned a bit messy, Jose blocked Hashim’s line of retreat forcing him to go prone as an assailant that was out of Jose and Eric’s line of sight took pot shots at Hashim. Fortunately, Hashim’s armour held out but by the time Jose and Eric had dealt with all threats, Hashim’s armour was a useless mess.

Once all threats were down including the leader who could’t shoot for toffee, they discovered the drill engineer cowering behind his equipment. He began begging for his life, telling our pro’s that he’d been press-ganged into helping the thieves and that they were threatening his wife and child.

When forced at gunpoint to open the safety deposit vault security door, the drill engineer knew the codes to access the room and raise shelf E. They then further threatened the engineer to try to get him to open the deposit box. The engineer told them that he’d need the drill and that it would take half an hour to set up. Our heroes only had 3 mins remaining.

Jose stepped up and used his lock picking skills to successfully open the vault. While this was going on, Hashim escorted the thief out of the room telling him he was escorting him to the exit. Once out of the deposit box room, the engineer was executed by the Soldier/Counter Terrorist.

30 seconds later, Jose had picked the lock to reveal the contents of the box, 1 x DVD ROM and 2 CF Cards. The team, realising their deadline was fast approaching decided to take the contents and try to re-secure the box. Jose failed to do this and after 30 seconds they decided to bail.

They carefully retreated from the Bank to the van and drove off, dropping the still unconscious police officer in some wasteland on the way to the safe house.

Mission Accomplished!

Session 02
Not one enemy bullet fired

3 of 4 Players here tonight. The Hacker decided to stay in the van and help with the surveillance of the mission.

The players decide to take down the two police officers guarding the alleyway to the back of the bank. The soldiers (Eric & Hashim) drive up to the officer guarding the alley at the rear, call him over to the car and promptly tazer him before dragging him into the back of the van, binding and gagging him. They then head down one end of the alley to distract the officer at the other end by making a ruckus.

Meanwhile, The Intruder/Scout (Jose) makes his way stealthily along the rooftops, avoiding the scrutiny of the police sniper and the officers on the ground. He prepared to rappel down the the building behind the police officer and tazer him. Unfortunately, the officer spots him as he drops, spinning around and drawing his weapon “FREEZE!”

Eric acts quickly, moving behind the officer and intimidating him into raising his hands. Jose then fires the tazer hitting the officer’s armour and failing to subdue him. The officer drops to his knees and the following electrical surge knocks out the cop. They tie him up and drop him in the dumpster. They know from listening in on the police band that they’ll have around 10 mins to secure the objective before the officers will be missed.

They now approach the rear exit of the bank, there’s a sturdy security door blocking the way and they know from surveillance that there’s an automated sentry gun beyond it. The door is operated from outside by a digital security lock. they call in the Hacker to get it unlocked. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts at locating the correct circuit points, the lock is re-programmed and the Hacker returns to the van for surveillance duty – total time since police were subdued, 3 mins.

Jose, Eric and Hashim type in the new code, prop open the door and roll in an emp greande. the emp disables the turret and they move in.

The Hacker tells them the current location and movement of two patrolling thieves as well as the thief monitoring the survailance cameras, they ask the hacker to switch the surveilance feeds to a loop and begin infiltrating the building. Using their suppressed weapons they promptly get the jump on the three guards and they go down without firing a single shot.

They then move to prepare an ambush on the thieves covering the hostages. Eric and Hashim step into the opened doorways of the lobby and performing a joint action on Eric’s call, execute all four thieves again without a single enemy taking a shot. Eric Promptly uses his crowd control ability to instruct the hostages to stay down and not move.

They are now 6 mins into their 10min window of opportunity. There are 5 thieves left and they still have to retrieve the primary objective. Tune in next week to see what happens…

Session 01
How do you access a building unseen?

First night and first session after character creation. Most of the evening was spent on gear picks. This was because all PC’s needed to get their possessions gear as well as their mission gear.

So onto intel:

Prologue Video

Soldeu Bank in Zurich is currently undergoing a robbery. For the last six hours a stalemate is underway as authorities fail to negotiate the release of the hostages.
The perpetrators seem to be militarily trained, well organised and well-armed.

Ordinarily a bank-robbery wouldn’t come under our scope of operations, however we believe that Soldeu bank holds the safety deposit-box of an individual that The Agency would very much like to know more about.

Your mission is to infiltrate the bank by whatever means you desire, gain entry to the safety deposit vault and if possible take a copy of the contents of box 47E. If you are unable to copy the contents, then procurement is preferred over abandonment.

Regarding the thieves and hostages, we leave that decision to you, however please be aware that the primary objective is the contents of box 47e. As we don’t know the contents of the box, we are providing you with a number of gear picks that may aid you in making copies of the contents.

The Agency does not wish to get involved in any discussions with Swiss authorities, so every effort should be made to avoid them.

On completion, please rendezvous at the Zurich safe house which is at 50 Germainastrasse.

Good luck Delta Team!

To get more information, the team’s hacker decided to try hacking the bank’s computer systems. This triggered a dramatic event that finalised with the hacker breaking into the system. This gave him access to the entire floor plan of the building as well as the security cameras scattered throughout.

It gave a clear indication that there were 18 hostages, 3 of which were dead. 2 of the dead hostages were security officers, the third a female civilian.

The hostages were guarded by 4 thieves all armed with pistol.

The rear fire exit was covered by an automatic sentry gun-turret.

Patrolling a corridor on each floor was a single guard, with a fourth in the first floor (UK 1st floor, not US 1st floor) security office.

In the basement there was a further 4 thieves attempting to drill into the vault, one significantly more menacing than the rest and holding an MP5 Heavy SMG, the drill operator was quite small and meek.

The Hacker then made a successful appraisal check and from determined that the menacing thief in the vault was the leader of the operation. Calling on his free dossier of the leader, revealed that he was ex-military, couldn’t re-integrate into the community and had a chequered past of misdemeanour’s from Assault to Grand Theft Auto.

External to the building was a large gathering of police and SWAT type officers trying to deal with the hostage situation. A police sniper and spotter was in the clock tower covering the south entrance, another sniper/spotter pair covered the west side of the building. To the rear of the building, covering the narrow 5ft alleyway was an officer at each end with weapon drawn monitoring the fire exit.

A discussion covering the possible points of entry determined that the best course of action was to either try entering via the fire exit at the rear or try entering via a side window.

An overview of the map showed that the side entry would be spotted by the dozens of police officers trying to deal with the hostage situation as well as the west wing sniper. The Hacker who was also monitoring the police band determined that the snipers called in every 10 mins, unless they spotted some kind of movement in the blacked out windows of the bank.

Session will continue next Tuesday at 19:30
